The lymphatic system has two very important jobs - it's responsible for clearing up all the garbage and debris left behind by our daily cellular processes and assists to eliminate those leftovers, and it plays an important role in our overall immune function. For many of us, the lymphatic system can become congested and stagnant as we spend a large portion of our days sitting, relatively inactive , and sedentary. The lymphatic system doesn't have a pump, and the only thing that keeps it moving and functioning properly is movement... and lymphatic massage.

As an energy worker, I also believe the lymphatic system plays a role in our mental/emotional wellbeing - the mental garbage we need to clear can be just as important as the physical garbage. Personally lymphatic massage is at the core of my monthly self-care routine to keep inflammation levels down and clear physical and mental congestion.
